السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

What the Prophet ﷺ focused on when calling people to Islam was to the statement “Lailaaha Illa Allah”.

The Quraysh(the tribe of Muhammed ﷺ from Mecca) had no problem with Muhammed as a person, rather they had issues with “Lailaaha Illa Allah”.

They didn’t like how Muhammed ﷺ was calling to worshipping Allah alone. They wanted Muhammed ﷺ to compromise their worship and they would compromise their worship. They would, for example, be fine if they worshipped Allah for most of the year, and Muhammed ﷺ worshipped the idols for a small part of the year. As you’ll see in the next part, they didn’t have an issue with Tawheed ar-Rububiyah(the Lordship of Allah), but had an issue with the Tawheed al-Uloohiyah(the Worship of Allah).

Allah knows best.
