السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

Allah called us Muslims in the Quran, so why call ourselves Salafi / AhlusSunnah / Ahlul Hadeeth / Ahul Athar / Firqatu Najiah? The reason is that the Muslims have divided and left the Sunnah, and showing that you follow the understanding of the Salaf shows what kind of Muslim you are. It shows that you stick to the pure Islam, the Islam that was at the time of the Prophet ﷺ. It’s not a must to call yourself Salafi, as we mentioned earlier, but it is allowed. However, it is a must that you follow the understanding of the Salaf.
